Pledges are being sought for the extension of the current beautiful bike trail in Manitowish Waters. The project approved by the Town Board of Manitowish Waters and the Department of Transportation will extend the paved bike trail from Powell Road to the Manitowish/Deer Path Roads along the south side of Highway 51 within the DOT road right of way.

Residents and visitors alike will greatly benefit from this bike trail extension. The estimated construction cost is $425,000. Right now the project is for 1.2 miles of paved trail to be built in 2024 with sufficient private funding. The Town Board hopes to eventually complete the bike trail to Townline Road after additional engineering ideas meet approval with the DOT.

If you have already received a pledge card by letter, please return it by August 15, 2023, if possible. Subsequent payments to the Town are tax deductible and will be used solely for this Bike Trail Extension Project of Powell Road to Manitowish/Deer Path roads.

If you care to donate separately from this pledge drive, please send your contribution to: Town of Manitowish Waters, Bike Trail Extension Project, P.O. Box 267, Manitowish Waters, WI 54545.

Thank you for your generous support.
