MANITOWISH WATERS PLANNING & ZONING
 
Welcome to the Manitowish Waters Plan Commission Website.

The Plan Commission plays several roles in our town's planning and zoning:

  • Administer, revise and update our current Zoning Ordinance
  • Administer and update our Land Use Plan
The Town of Manitowish Waters adopted the Year 2022 Comprehensive Land Use Plan in April of 2003. The Plan Commission is now working on revising our Town Zoning Ordinance to follow the recommendations of the plan and to make it current. We welcome your comments as we proceed through the revision process.

Notice: We want your input.  The Plan Commission is presently working on rewriting the Manitowish Waters Zoning Ordinance and we would appreciate your input. We welcome you to attend Plan Commission Workshops and meetings or you can send us your comments as well.  All public comments to date have been reviewed and commission wishes to extend their appreciation.   For any future submissions, commission requests that the public first refer to the County regulations already in place, as to avoid duplication in efforts.

The Plan Commission typically meets monthly on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm (6:00 pm November thru March) at either the Airport Terminal Building or the Town Hall. Please use the links at left to see agendas, meeting minutes or draft language to comment upon. Our email address is mwzoning@centurytel.net.
